got my mp 40 last week 8 mags through not 1 jam , double fire or miss feed!

A1 gun , only tried it once, when wife was out, as she dont know.

i know 140 is a rip of when compared to HK prices, but i wanted it next day with no hassle, and it was WELL worth it.

the name on the box called the gun a MP 007 , LMAO, but its mp 40 in all aspects.

shreds cans, and blows nice plaster chucks out of my cellar wall,

undo 1 screw to break gun in two

A MUST HAVE.

Thanks for that John.
The bolt handle is actually screwed to the movable part of the fake carrier. I might see if I can knock up a spring loaded handle that engages the little notch in the reciever

I've seen a video on youtube where the guy makes the bolt return with a nice "clack", just by wrapping an elastic band around the inside and securing it to the inside of the reciever. Since I'm a total retard with providing links, you'll just have to search on youtube for it but it looks uber cool. By the way, the rest of the video is a bit wank, he digresses from the gun to attempt to show us how to use cover properly! (Mind you, he IS an american, so I forgive him!). Worth checking out guys.

My Mp40 should arrive this week (from RSOV), along with a load of mags, I'm wetting myself with anticipation, having airsofted for about 20 years and lusting after a decent airsoft MP40 for just as long. It's the arrival of this gun that's finally made me go for a WW2 loadout.

Still, I didn't know what that chunk of metal was for on the bottom of the barrel and now I do (if the nutter is right!).

Just tried the rubber band idea for bolt return, works a treat :) Used a red Royal Mail rubber band. Not to strong, but holds the bolt in place when moving about. Friction keeps the carrier in the rear postion if you want to adjust hop up, a little tap on the bolt handle and it shoots forwards.
Might still experiment with making a spring loaded bolt handle in the future.

I need to get a dremel to allow the bolt to sit in the bolt open position and also do the elastic band modification.

not sure if I'll do it pre or post Arnhem day

Those 'funy bits of metal on the underside of the barrel' were also made in bakelite. You dont want to scratch the paint on your tank now do you.

I love vids like this. Makes my efforts seem phenominal :D

Oddball, He had it pointing into the sun for the first half which was a very basic mistake.

I actually couldnt finish watching it. It disappeared into the land of WTF?

Personally I quite like the fact the bolt doesnt spring back. Means you can easily adjust the hop without having to fumble about holdin the cover back.

No longer involved in airsoft.

So historical fact now counts as spam? :D
There was a bunch of the bakelite versions for sale on e-bay.com. As painful as the vid was he got that bit correct.
